Verizon Wireless Amphitheater is the New Name in Live Entertainment in St. Louis
Local music venue to ring in 2007 with one of the top names in wireless communication

ST. LOUIS?Verizon Wireless, the nation?s most reliable wireless network, will become the new name-in-title sponsor of St. Louis? premiere outdoor concert venue in 2007 as part of a seven-year deal announced today by Live Nation, the world?s largest producer, promoter and presenter of live entertainment. The current UMB Bank Pavilion in Maryland Heights will be renamed the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater St. Louis, and concert-goers will hear and see the difference.

Plans are already being made for the 21,000-seat venue that has hosted some of the biggest music acts in the world and millions of fans since 1991. In an effort to improve the concert experience, Verizon Wireless plans to offer many exciting programs next summer, including an on-site Wireless Caf? in the North Plaza, Text2Win promotions and special fly away contests. Select Verizon Wireless customers will also get an opportunity to gain early entrance to the concerts and special preferred parking.

Crumpton said Verizon Wireless is currently working on plans to use its more than 25 retail stores in the area to promote the music venue and offer special incentives to customers. Concert-goers will also be able to use their wireless handsets to interact with the crowd during many upcoming events.
