Charles (Chuck) Tosovsky, president of Home Nursery Inc., received Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce?s highest honor for his leadership in helping to establish a major horticultural facility on the campus of Southern Illinois University ? Edwardsville.
According to the Chamber, the Albert Cassen?s Award for community achievement is reserved each year for an exceptional individual who has significantly impacted the quality of life in the community outside their normal scope of work. Tosovsky has put numerous hours, funds and plant contributions towards the development of The Gardens at SIU-E, a 40-acre signature garden of the Missouri Botanical Garden.
?I am honored to receive this award, but even more importantly, I am thrilled to have members of the community excited about this project,? says Tosovsky, who is also the past president of the SIU-E Foundation.
